Facing expiration of a crucial sales tax, the Sonoma County Library took action to educate taxpayers on the importance of those funds and all the Library has to offer by sending two educational mail pieces, one to city residents and the other to county residents. Both mail pieces included a return postcard successfully requesting input from taxpayers about their Library. The photo on the cover of the County mail piece had significant photo work inserting blurry books/book cases into the background. (I’m still waiting for AI to usefully do this work for me, but it’s still much faster to just do it myself...) Selecting photos was a challenge for both pieces, as the Library didn’t have a collection of local photos of their libraries and patrons, necessitating extensive review and selection of stock photos, which is always complicated.
